There are rumors that Samsung would bring back Exynos in 2024, but the Geekbench benchmark result of Samsung Galaxy S24+ confirms that the phone comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Galaxy S24+ is confirmed to come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but this does not necessarily exclude the possibility of an Exynos variant. The Geekbench 6 results indicate that the model in question is likely the US version of the Galaxy S24+, as it continues the tradition of using Snapdragon chipsets in the United States.
Geekbench listing for Samsung Galaxy S24+ (SM-S926U) revealed the presence of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset (code-named “pineapple”) along with 8 GB of RAM. It’s somewhat disappointing to see that a flagship phone with such a powerful processor like Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 only offers 8 GB of RAM in the base variant.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset’s configuration consists of 1 core running at 3.30 GHz, 3 cores at 3.15 GHz, 2 cores at 1.96 GHz, and 2 cores at 2.27 GHz. The core configuration of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 seems quite different than the predecessor.
