Honor just launched the Magic V2 in July, but it's already preparing for another foldable launch. The Magic Vs2 will be officially announced on October 12, the brand revealed on Weibo, and we will also see a new Watch 4 Pro wearable alongside it.
The big event on Thursday will be preceded by a smaller one tomorrow, October 10, when the Honor Play 50 Plus will be unveiled to the Chinese public.
Honor is expected to bring the Magic Vs2 as a mild update over last year's Magic Vs. A recent benchmark from Geekbench suggested a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and 16GB of RAM. The Vs2 will have a 50 MP main camera, and we are curious if Honor decided to keep the 50 MP ultra wide and 8 MP telephoto shooters as well.
The Magic Vs2's selling point will apparently be its body - it is said to be thinner than the Vs, which already had a nice 6.1 mm profile when unfolded. The phone was certified with 66W wired charging, which is the same as any other Honor Magic V device, and while there is no change, it is still a pretty fast standard in the foldable world.
