Huawei launched the Mate 60 series without much fanfare, and two variants are already on sale in China. Now a third member of the family is on its way, the Mate 60 Pro+, and a leak has revealed its memory variants.
The phone will have 16GB of RAM and two storage options - 512GB or 1TB. The same leakster stated that the starting price could be CNY8,999, which is $1,231/€1,150.
The Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ is expected to be the mightiest phone in the lineup, with a class-leading quad-cam setup on the back, packed on a halo island. While there will no longer be a "Porsche Design" phone, Huawei will launch the "RS Ultimate Design" variant with a unique design for people who don't mind paying extra for even more premium materials.
The price is no longer a shock, at least not in the context of flagships. For comparison, the Mate 50 Pro (the previous series did not have a Plus) cost £1,200 in the UK or €1,200 in continental Europe, and it had only 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage (expandable by another 256 GB with an NM card).
We are still waiting for official information on whether Huawei will launch any of these phones outside of China.
