No surprises there, Huawei has opened the Huawei Pura 70 Series Pioneer Program on its official website on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the Huawei P Series. We were among the first to head to Huawei's offline store to grab a Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, and now we're bringing you a brief hands-on experience!
Let's start by looking at the exterior which has seen the most changes this time around.
All four colors of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra are made of vegan leather, and the back is embossed with a high-pressure embroidery embossing process to create some diamond-shaped patterns, which not only looks like a luxury product, but also feels more like one. Unlike other brands that feel a bit rough to the touch, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra's vegan leather feels a bit less damp and smoother to the touch.
Unlike the other three versions of the Pura 70 series, the Ultra version has the "XMAGE" logo moved from the DECO to the lower right corner to further increase recognition. The lenses in DECO are, from top to bottom, Ultra Wide, Prime, and Periscope telephoto.
This main camera also uses a telescopic structure, which not only increases the recognizability of the lens, but also gives the user a sense of ritual for each photo. The part of the lens sticking out is red in color, so it's hard to believe that Huawei is paying homage to some camera factory?
To say that this telescopic structure has what function? At present, I have not found, personal guess is that this 50-megapixel 1-inch lens is too big and too thick, if you do not do this structure will make the lens protruding part of the lens is more obvious, thus making the phone head heavy.
The other two lens parameters are a 40-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel ultra spotlight macro telephoto camera with an F2.1 super-large aperture, support for a 3.5x optical zoom, support for a 5cm ultra close focus, and a 35x super macro.
As for this Huawei Pura 70 Ultra photo how? I also found a few flagships on the market to compare with it, who actually has the best results, welcome to the comments section.

Huawei achieved 5cm ultra close focus and 35x super macro shooting with the Pura 70 Ultra's telephoto camera this time. Here are some actual shots from this test:

Flipping over to the front, a 6.8-inch equal depth quad-curved screen pulls the front face full circle. Unlike the Xiaomi 14 Ultra's iso-depth quad-curved screen, Huawei's curvature is much smaller and the greening of the edges is well controlled, but Xiaomi's bezel is much narrower, and the two are mutually exclusive.
The screen also ensures a smooth visual experience with a resolution of 2,844 x 1,260 pixels, 2,500 nits peak brightness, and 1-120Hz LTPO Adaptive Refresh Rate technology.
This time around, the front of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra has also been replaced with Xuanwu Tempered Kunlun Glass, which provides another boost in hardness and drop resistance.
Finally, let's take a look at what else is inside its box.
A vegan leather half-wrap case, a C-C cable, and a 100W charging plug that supports both A and C ports. I have to say, the texture of this randomly included case is still good, and the vegan leather part is very well damped, so it doesn't slip easily in your hand.
Overall, this Huawei Pura 70 Ultra has realized an upgrade in texture, image, etc., which brings its launch price to 9,999 yuan starting, which can be said to be the benchmark of Samsung and Apple.
Due to time constraints, we only did a brief hands-on experience with the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, please look forward to our follow-up content for other performance.
